Duke Koa Coaster – Boards George Eguchi The patina of the woodThe Hawaii craftsmen of Martin & MacArthur create Koa coasters with laser engraved images of Duke Kahanamoku (1890 1968). We use Koa from our private stock, harvested on Big Island plantations from previously fallen Koa trees. Duke was the world renowned champion Hawaiian swimmer who popularized the sport of surfing. Dukes magnetic charm and friendly demeanor earned him the title Ambassador of Aloha. At the age of 21, Duke won his first Olympic gold
