Simic Ascendancy is genuinely a good backup win condition, but I hate the design of the card personally and many groups will know to beat you up as soon as it hits the board
I think this does wonders for midrange spellslinger lists, if not Storm proper
There are those matchups that revolve around a few key cards, you might chose to buyback a Forbid on turn three pitching two useful cards because you have no other answers in hand to the remaining key cards they have
