It is stamped "JD & S" and has the trumpet and banner mark of James Dixon & Sons. The top of the cap is engraved with the monogram "JRR" and "Tanatside" (the latter possibly refers to the Tanatside Hunt in Powys, Wales)The flask is handblown heavy crystal The flask has a mahogany coloured leather case . The girth strap is attached so that the flask will sit on the near side of the saddle.
